To enhance our proficiency in addressing ABI and TBI, we leverage the expertise of the British Association of Brain Injury and Complex Case Management (BABICM) and Headway for specialised training.

Our dedicated training for ABI or TBI is conducted by a Clinical Nurse Specialist and is complemented by competencies assessed by trained Complex Care Supervisors under the guidance of the Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Our Brain Injury training, endorsed by Headway and CPD accredited, covers a range of topics, including:

  • Concussion
  • The various effects of brain injury

The course delves into critical aspects such as:

  • Early Intervention
  • Supporting someone with a Brain Injury Mobility
  • Communication difficulties Challenging behaviours

  • Rehabilitation
  • Left-side neglect
  • Sexually inappropriate behaviour

Upon completion of the brain injury training, our Personal Assistants undergo a competency-based assessment to ensure alignment between their knowledge and the latest training they have received.
